Insulated Glass is made up of two or more pieces of glass separated by spacers, which are sealed to form a unit. There is one or more gas-filled space(s) in between, filled with inert gas. It has good thermal insulation, heat insulation, and seismic resistance.
As its name implies, laminated glass is made up of two or more pieces of glass with an elastic material, usually a PVB film, sandwiched between them. Laminated glass can hinder and buffer the vibration of the glass, achieving the effect of noise reduction.
The thickness of laminated glass is usually between 8-20mm, while the thickness of hollow glass can be customized according to requirements. The sound insulation and fire resistance of laminated glass are better than those of hollow glass, while the thermal insulation, heat insulation, and seismic resistance of hollow glass are better.
